Epilogue: Memories Grow in the Circle The Epilogue brings the Growing Memories journey full circle. This final reflection revisits the nine chapters through key story moments, meaningful quotes, discussion prompts, and the central themes explored throughout the program. It offers an opportunity to reflect on the children’s journey through safety, belonging, memory, expression, regulation, remembrance, rest, renewal, and integration, while considering how the stories and songs can continue to live within the circle. Designed as a review for a 10 week Growing Memories session, the epilogue invites children and educators to reflect on what they have discovered about love, loss, grief, remembrance, change, connection, and resilience. Each chapter is revisited through its main theme, helping children recognize how their understanding has grown from one season to the next. The closing circle creates space to share memories, notice changes, celebrate connection, and reflect on the many ways grief can be experienced. It offers a gentle closing experience that honours each child's journey while reinforcing an important message: memories can continue to grow when they are remembered, shared, and held together in community.
